#130: [The picture used to illustrate the
previous number, consisting of a skeleton looking through a
window at a lady who is fixing her hair before a mirror.] |
#130: This picture illustrates her concerns
about wigs. The major problems with the picture, as can be seen from the
context cited
under #129, is that:
- The picture does not show the lady's head loaded.
- It does not show her head taking on an unnatural shape.
- It does not show her wearing a wig which would make it impossible
for her to be comfortable.
- It does not show a wig that would cover the base of the brain.
- It does not picture a style of wig that could be called a deformity.
For these reasons, this picture does not illustrate at all what Mrs. White was talking
about.
